The Chef Diego

“I like to imagine a chef like an alchemist of the senses that can make people feel good” says Diego Tosi. The passion for food and cooking starts when he’s a child, looking at his mother cooking, and this passion turned soon into a professional career.  Gastronomically grown in Milan, passing through London, with consultancy experiences around the world, developing a personal taste for the meals composition. His creations are a commemorative moment of his love for travelling, people and cultural meltingpop. After a wide experience in events, catering and as an Executive Chef in Milan, he is selected by  the business man Roberto Lenzi for Tamu, that recognizes him as the right person to create a creative and international gastronomic experience in Watamu.

“In 2018 during a holiday in Watamu my love for Kenya was born. From that moment on I was looking for a job or a project that would allow me to move in this wonderful reality. I chose the legal system of Kenya as the argument dealt with in my graduation in law. Thanks to the businessman Mr Roberto Lenzi I could realize this desire becoming part of the Tamu Restaurant staff. ” declares Cristina Chiodi, the manager who collborates with the chef Mr Diego Tosi in Tamu Restaurant management.
Cristina for more than 10 years has been envolved in organizing events in Italy in her homeland near Milan. She is a city councilor with responsability for tourism and secretary of a local association.
